Iranian director Tofigh Amani’s ‘Ants Apartment’ has won an award at the Ecozine International Film Festival in Spain.
‘Ants Apartment’ won the best film award at the 10th edition of the Spanish festival.
Produced by Tofigh Amani and Zana Mohammad Gharib, the short film narrates the story of the tragic massacre of 182,000 Iraqi Kurds in Iraq that took place by the direct order of Saddam Hussein, the then-president of Iraq.
Produced in 2014, ‘Ants Apartment’ participated in many international film festivals in Portugal, Croatia, Switzerland, Armenia, Brazil, Italy, Lebanon and Turkey and won many awards at the festivals.
Ecozine, the International Film Festival focused on the Environment, celebrates its 10th edition from May 3 to 21, with a slogan for reflection and action on the present moment that we are all living.
