‘Any Day Now’ goes global

‘Any Day Now’ (Ensilumi in Finnish) starring Iranian superstar Shahab Hosseini is set to go on screen in France, Poland and Taiwan.

The New Europe Film Sales based in Russia has sold screening rights to Iranian-Finnish filmmaker’s movie to three movie screening companies of Urban Distribution in France, New Horizonz Association in Poland and AVjet in Taiwan.

What inspired Ramezan to make ‘Any Day Now’ was his own personal experiences upon his arrival in Finland in 1990.

The film narrates the story of a young boy of 13 years of age whose life in a village in Finland turns upside down when his parents’ application for asylum gets rejected.

Shahab Hosseini portrays the role of the father of this family who don’t sink into despair regardless of their insecure and uncertain life in a country that does not want to accept them.

Aran-Sina Keshvari, Shabnam Ghorbani and Kimiya Eskandari are the rest of the cast members of the flick.

The film has already been showcased at the Generation Kplus section of the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany. Soon, it will also hit the screen at the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy.
