‘Today is Friday’ to vie in Norway

Iranian short flick ‘Today in Friday’ has been scheduled to take part in the R. E. D. International Film Festival (RIFF) in Norway.

Directed by Mohammad Ahangar, the 14-minute film will be among the competition titles at the 21st edition of the Norwegian event.

No details on the plot summary of the flick have been disclosed to the media for the film.

It has Azadeh Seifi, Farid Qobadi, Kaveh Ahangar and Pedram Jame-Bozorg on the cast list.

‘Today is Friday’ has already taken part in a number of global events, including the MIKROFAF Film Festival in Serbia, the Canberra Short Film Festival in Australia and the Santa Fe Film Festival in the US.

Established in 2015, the RIFF aims to bridge the gap between various forms of art and the film industry.

This year, due to the pandemic, the event is being held in two separate versions.

The first one will be drive-in cinema held in Einawood farm. The other version will be held online.

The 6th edition of the RIFF is slated for June 25-July 3.
