Directed by Hessam Hamidi, the short film is in competition at the “Best Live-Action Short 15 Minutes and Under” section of the event.

According to the PSIFF website, a synopsis to the film reads, “Fuad is a 12-year-old boy who comes to Tehran to make money to support his mother. He is willing and ready to take on any paying job, but each job brings with it a set of new challenges”.

The cast of the film includes Hamidreza Karami, Mehran Atashzai, Rouzbeh Sinki and Mehrnoush Salimi.

Written and produced by Hossein Tehrani, the film will experience its first international presence at the upcoming edition of the PSIFF.

The Oscars qualifying short fest, PSIFF, is the largest short film festival and market in North America.

The festival aims to encourage new filmmakers and honors the great masters of world cinema.
