Renowned Iranian director, Dariush Mehrjouee’s 1986 movie is narrated for the blind audience by Houtan Shakiba.
“When the landlord of a busy apartment complex dies, his lack of apparent heir leaves the property up for grabs. As a result, Abbas (Ezzatolah Entezami), the overeager apartment manager, aims to secure his claim on the building by evicting all its residents and thereby cutting them out of contention. However, these renters prove wilier than Abbas expected, so he ups the ante by refusing to keep up the property. Soon the tenants take maintenance into their own hands -- with disastrous results,” the synopsis of the film reads.
The film will be available on Radio CEVINA on Thursday. It will be on the group’s official website.
Every week, the CEVINA group publishes the audio files of two nostalgic classic movies for people with visual impairment.
The group has already published ‘Casablanca’ read by Sahar Dolatshahi, ‘Bicycle Thieves’ read by Mohsen Bahrami, Ali Hatami’s ‘Mother’ narrated by Ehteram Boroumand and ‘Gone with the Wind’ read by Shabnam Moqadami.
