Ethnic wedding in Iran’s Bazoft, festival of colors

Each corner of the world has its own wedding customs, and when there is a nomadic wedding in Iranian district of Bazoft, joy and colors fill the air.

Women stand beside each other wearing their absolutely vibrant traditional outfits which shine in the sunlight while they shake their handkerchiefs during the wedding ceremony in Bazoft in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.

Wedding ceremonies have a special place among the Bakhtiari people.

Iran is home to different ethnic groups such as Persians, Kurds, Lurs, Arabs, Baluchs, Turkmen, and Azeri.

While Persian is the official language of Iran, those groups speak different dialects and languages.
