Viper's-bugloss picking in Gorgan: Photos

Viper's-bugloss is a medicinal herb with several health benefits, and is widely used by people in Iran to make a soothing herbal tea.

Farmers in Gorgan County of Iran’s Golestan Province are currently engaged in the process of picking viper's-buglosses.

The harvest season begins in April and last until the first days of July.

About 180 hectares of viper's-buglosses are grown in Golestan.

The province produces between 500 to 700 kilograms of dried viper's-buglosses every year.
