Directed by Sara Namjou, the animation received the award for the best animation at the Russian event.
‘Stars in the Rain’ is about little miracles in daily life that make it possible to tolerate hardships.
“On a rainy day, the passengers of a train observe a little boy getting on the train. The little boy returns light to their world by his little miracles,” the plot of the animation reads.
“The main characters of the animation are two children but it targets a vast range of audience,” Namjou said.
She also believes participating in international festivals is a great opportunity for filmmakers to boost their self-confidence.
Sina Amiri and Farzaneh Haqiqat are the animators in the project.
