Rangooniha mosque of Abadan in photos

Mosques in Iran are holy places with head-turning architecture; the Rangooniha Mosque in Abadan is not an exception.

Back in the time when Qajar Dynasty ruled in Iran, the Rangooniha Mosque was structured in Abadan to host the Muslim worshipers who had come from Myanmar (Murma) to the region on business.

The travelers who were mostly engineers had been invited to the city to build an Iranian oil refinery site.

As the architects who constructed the mosque were Indian, the final product looks like Indian buildings.
