The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ will take part in the first edition of the American event.
‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’, directed by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani, is about “a girl who is involved in the problems of her time and in the end she surrenders to the birds, which she has painted”, a synopsis for the film reads.
The film was named the best animation at the 2nd edition of the Austral International Film Festival (FICA) in Argentina.
It was also named among the silver winners of the Best Short – Animation at the 3rd quarter of the 2020 Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US.
Streetside cinema is a daily outdoor film screening program at a/perture cinema, a four-screen non-profit art house cinema, in Winston-Salem city in North Carolina.
Streetside cinema is “our attempt to reach a broader audience and to make cinema accessible”, an online submission platform writes about the event, adding it “will screen daily on the sidewalk outside of our cinema and is free to the public”.
The event will take place on July 9-October 31.
