Amirchakhmaq complex in photos

One of the most important historical sites in the Iranian province of Yazd is Amirchakhmaq complex.

The complex encompasses a square, a Tekieh, a Qanat, a public bath, several caravanserais, a monastery (or Khaneqah), and a water reservoir (Abanbar in Persian).

Amirchakhmaq ruled Yazd in the Timurid era and constructed a number of important buildings around 600 years ago.

Amirchakhmaq square is a shining pearl in the old part of Yazd city. Visiting the site at night is an exceptional experience.

The tree-story Tekieh surrounding the square is an eye-catching structure that amazes visitors and tourists.

People of Yazd hold many of their gatherings in the place and enjoy the grandeur of its marvelous architecture.

The tilework, inscriptions and other decorations of the buildings in Amirchakhmaq square are excellent and attract attentions.
