The Chinese ambassador to Tehran announced the news on Sunday.
Chang Hua twitted “I’m really glad that I had a meeting with the renowned Iranian director Mrs. Narges Abyar. She will travel to China for a joint film project on the Silk Road.”
Born in 1970, Abyar is an Iranian author, film director and screenwriter.
She studied Persian Literature and holds a BA degree in the field.
Abyar began her directing career with the feature film 'Objects in Mirror' in 2012.
She has made several short and feature-length documentaries. Some of her short films and documentaries are about Iraq–Iran war.
She has also penned some 30 books for children, young adults and adults.
Abyar has won awards from many national and international film festivals, including the Best Director award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.
‘Track 143’ (2013), ‘Breath’ (2016), and ‘When the Moon Was Full’ (2019), all aired by iFilm English TV, are among the director’s notable films with winning numerous awards in major film events around the world.
