The county of Ardakan is the hub of sesame seed products in Iran.

Iranian province of Yazd is the major producer of sesame seed products in Iran.

More than 75 percent of the production facilities where sesame seed-based products are made lie in the county of Ardakan in Yazd.

Nearly 155 industrial and conventional production facilities are operating in Yazd, making sesame seed-based products.

The products include tahini, tahini halva, sesame oil, chocolate Tahini spread, and sesame seed desserts.
