‘Mostafa’ to participate in Cheongju Int’l Short fest

The 18th edition of the Cheongju International Short Film Festival in South Korea is to play host to Iranian short film ‘Mostafa’.

Directed by Alireza Teymouri, ‘Mostafa’ has been produced with the support of the South Regional Film Organization and the Swedish Institute Film.

Produced by Peyman Shahmohammadi, ‘Mostafa’ is a drama narrating the upsetting story of an immigrant family. It tries to show how seeking refuge in another land is sometimes not a choice, but a compulsion.

‘Mostafa’ is the recipient of the best short film award at the 10th International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF) in India.

Fariba Talebi, Masoumeh Jabbarnia, Majid Malekpour, Zeinab Hashemi, and Hassan Heidari are some of the cast members of the flick.

The film has already taken part in various international film events, including the Goteborg International Film Festival in Sweden, the Cannes Film Festival in France, the Gandhara Independent Film Festival in Pakistan, and the 7th Cefalù Film Festival in Italy.

The Cheongju International Short Film Festival presents movies that are touching, entertaining, and short but strong.

The program team of the 18th Cheongju International Short Film Festival is hosting the festival under the motto of 'Film Festival for the Audience, by the Audience, of the Audience'.

The event will be held on August 20-24, 2021.
