Iran makes doc on Zhaleh Olov's life

Directed by Mehdi Sheybanizadeh, ‘The Daughter of the Sun’ has been made to cover the life of veteran Iranian actress Zhaleh Olov.

The documentary focuses on the professional and personal life of Olov.

‘The Daughter of the Sun’ is a part of a documentary series titled “Studio Eight” that is an analysis of the cultural and social history of Iran’s radio. The series encompasses 10 seasons and includes fifty 60-minute episodes.

Every one of the documentaries has a screenplay and a narrator. Masoumeh Nourzad is the narrator of this episode.

The maker, researcher and producer of the series is also Sheybanizadeh.

Olov, Born in 1927, graduated from the Technical School of Acting in Tehran in 1950.

She began radio hosting and presenting while in school; and later she turned to radio acting. She began theater and cinema acting in 1947.

Four years later, she took on voice acting, lending her talent to characters played by Sophia Loren, Gloria Swanson and Susan Hayward. She has also voice acted in animations such as 'Cinderella', 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', 'Sleeping Beauty' and 'Pinocchio'.
