Iranian cineaste to join jury in China

Iranian filmmaker Yasser Talebi has been invited to Judge at the International Outdoor Documentary Film Festival (OUTDOCS) in China.

The third edition of the Chinese event, set to be held on October 29-31, will have the Iranian cineaste among its jury members.

Born in 1982, Talebi is an Iranian scriptwriter, cinematographer, film editor and documentarian. He has already made several movies such as ‘The Signs’, ‘Pass’ and ‘The Children’.

The documentarian is best recognized by his film ‘Beloved’ that has so far shined at many international film events, including the International Festival of Broadcast and Independent Producers- SIMFEST in Romania, the Earth Day Film Festival in the US and the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.

However, this is not his only production that has brought his global fame. The Nice International Film Festival in France awarded his short documentary ‘The Iron Dream’ which is about Iran’s railway history.

The documentary project he is currently working on is ‘Destiny’ that is also taking part in the Fund section of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

The OUTDOCS Film Festival aims to respect the nature by showcasing and recording amazing natural landscapes.
