Tehran Int’l short filmfest receives over 6400 shorts

Tehran International Short Film Festival has been well received by international filmmakers.

The secretariat of the 2021 edition of the event has received over 6400 short films from around the world.

It was while the Iranian festival has been announced as an Oscars-qualifying festival.

Organized by the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), the TISFF is held annually in the Iranian capital city of Tehran to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to exchange their experiences.

The event, a member of the International Short Film Conference (ISFC), is one of the oldest short film festivals in Iran and the region. It has played host to several international well-known festival directors and cineastes from around the world.

The 38th edition of the event will be held online, due to the Covid19 pandemic, on October 28-November 3.
