Iran’s film to screen at Chinese fest

Iranian feature film ‘The Reversed Path’ is selected to be shown at the Beijing International Film Festival.

Abolfazl Jalili’s ‘The Reversed Path’ will be on screen at the 11th edition of the Chinese film event.

The film is about a teenager who wants to become a filmmaker. There are barriers that prevent him from achieving his dream, but his determination helps him overcome all challenges.

Emkan is a 17-year-old teenager who has not seen his father for many years and his mother works late night in a factory. He has a small video camera on which he decides to make a film to give a twist to his routine life; however, he is not very proficient. He tries his best to achieve his goal.

The cast members of ‘The Reversed Path’ include Mahdiyar Asghari, Masoud Naji and Pouyan Shokri.

The film was previously screened at a number of global events including, the 13th Jaipur International Film Festival in India, the Shanghai International Film Festival in China where it won the Best Director and the Best Actor awards.

Founded in 2011, the Beijing International Film Festival is an event attended by international executives, directors, producers and studio heads.

The 11th edition of the festival is slated for August 14-21, 2021.
