A symbolic caravan showing Imam Hussein's (AS) arrival to Karbala city has moved into Iranian village in Isfahan Province, reminding people of the third Shia Imam's martyrdom.
The symbolic ritual conjures up days before the Battle of Karbala where the third Shia Imam was martyred along with his 72 faithful companions.
Iranians commemorate Imam Hussein's (AS) martyrdom anniversary alongside millions of Muslims around the world annually on Ashura, the tenth day of the lunar month of Muharram which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS).
