Albanian fest to host Iran’s ‘The Doll’

Iranian short documentary has been set to compete at the 19th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

Directed by Elaheh Esmaeeli, the 33-minute doc shows how the whole family members of a young girl can have parts in her future and fate. She is only 14 when the family is making decision about marrying her off.

The short doc has already toured various global events, including the Atlanta Film Festival in the US, the International Film Festival of Huesca in Spain, and the kortfilmfestivalen in Norway.

Rezvan Beheshtian, Sahar Abdollahi, Mohammad-Javad Asadi, and Nabiollah Minaee are the main cast members of the flick.

Established in 2003, the Tirana International Film Festival is a cultural event that aims to create a friendly space for cineastes to come together and share experience.

The 2021 edition of the event will be held on September 24-30.
