More than 80 international films have applied to the International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults (ICFF) in Iran.
According to the festival, 44 international movies, including 20 animations and 24 features from 30 countries, applied to take part in the 34th edition of the ICFF.
Some 42 international short films, including 14 animations and 28 fictional short films, from 21 countries also applied to the festival by the August 23 registration deadline.
The international films competition’s submission deadline will end by September 15.
Meanwhile, 438 movies made by Iranian filmmakers, including short films, animations and features, were submitted to the festival’s national competition. The figure marks a significant rise compared to the number of Iranian films that applied to the previous edition of the event.
The Iranian films competition’s submission deadline ended on August 22.
The ICFF aims to promote ethical values such as family unity, appropriate lifestyle, respect for humanity, self-esteem, social responsibility, environmental protection and also seeks to create awareness of the future challenges.
The 34th International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults will take place on October 8-13.
