Iran’s ‘Exodus’ to make debut in India

Iranian short film ‘Exodus’ is set to have its international debut at the 2021 Himachal Short Film Festival in India.

‘Exodus’ is the third film directed by Mohammad-Javad Zeighami, following ‘Exchange’ and ‘Unwanted’, which will be screened at the short film section of the Indian film event.

Mahyar Pourbabaee, Ghazaleh Zaeem, Morteza Alidadi and Fatemeh Mortazi are among the cast members of the film.

“It is almost two days that Mehrdad hasn’t been home,” a brief synopsis for the film reads.

The Himachal Short Film Festival will offer celebration of cinema, with live screenings of local and international high-quality independent cinema.

“Film categories include Narrative Shorts, Experimental, Advertisement, Documentary, Short Films, Animated Films, Music Videos, and Student Productions from all over the world,” the festival’s website wrote.

The Indian event will be held in the Indian city of Shimla on October 2 and 3, 2021.
