Iranian animated short film ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ has made its way to the Chelsea Film Festival (CFF) in the US.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that the animation will take part in the ninth edition of the Chelsea Film Festival.
‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani is about a girl who is involved in the problems of her time and in the end, she surrenders to the birds which she has painted.
The film was named the best animation at the 2nd edition of the Austral International Film Festival (FICA) in Argentina.
It was also named among the silver winners of the Best Short – Animation at the 3rd quarter of the 2020 Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US.
The Chelsea Film Festival is “an international film festival, enlightening the work of emerging filmmakers, producers and actors… It empowers the work of risk-taking storytellers and remains committed to,” the event’s website reads.
Its mission, according to the CFF website, is "to discover and develop independent artists and audiences around the world."
The upcoming edition of the festival will take place on October 14-17.
