Date harvest in southern Iran: Photos

Farmers in Iran’s southern provinces are currently busy with picking dates.

Harvesting dates in the cities of Bandar Abbas and Abadan begins in summer.

Picking dates means climbing up palm trees. Farmers then separate the ripe dates from the not-quite-ready fruits.
