Hazelnuts harvest in northern Iran

The northern province of Gilan is the largest producer of hazelnuts in Iran.

Some 19,436 hectares of land in Gilan are used for hazelnut production.

Some 59,200 families in Gilan are engaged in hazelnut cultivation.

The harvest season of hazelnuts starts in September.
