The BFI London Film Festival (LFF) in the UK has been scheduled to host Iranian short animation ‘The Fourth Wall’.
Written and directed by Mahboubeh Kalaee, the short animation will be screened at the 65th edition of the LFF next month.
“Home and family, relationships, desires, wishes and everything are summarized in a kitchen. The stuttering boy is alone there, playing with his imagination,” a synopsis for the 10-minute animation reads.
‘The Fourth Wall’ has already been screened at some global events, including the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France, and the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb in Croatia, where it won the jury award titled "Zlatko Grgić Award."
The 65th edition of the BFI London Film Festival will take place on October 6-17. The screenings will take place in theatres across London and the UK.
The other Iran representative at this edition of the LFF is ‘A Hero’ by celebrated Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi.
