Poland to host Iran short

Iranian short ‘The Cycling Wind’ is scheduled to be screened at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth KINOLUB in Poland.

Directed by Nazanin Sobhan-Sarbandi, the 6-minute animation will represent Iran at the short films section of the 2021 edition of the festival.

‘The Cycling Wind’ is an adaptation of a story written by Farhad Hassanzadeh and is about a young wind that comes into possession of a bike, which helps the wind to blow even faster without spending much energy.

The animation has previously gone on screen at several global events, including the Glasgow Short Film Festival in Scotland, the Dytiatko International Children’s Media Festival in Ukraine, the International Film Festival for Children and Youth KINOLUB in Poland, the Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids in the US, and the Canterbury Anifest festival in the UK.

The KINOLUB is an international film festival which creates an environment for young people to actively and keenly participate in the cultural life and to develop new mindful audiovisual audiences.

The program includes motion pictures from all over the world – rich in artistic quality and conveying important messages. It is a non-commercial event.

The sixth edition of the event is slated for September 6-29, 2021.
