Iranian female filmmaker Narges Abyar has been appointed as an honorary professor by a university in China.
The 51-year-old director is now an honorary professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University in China, media reports said, adding that the recipient of the title was attended a Q&A session in the Chinese university and answered questions asked by students studying theater, acting and directing.
She also held a master class during her visit to the university.
Abyar made her feature directorial debut in 2012 with 'Objects in Mirror'.
She also made several short films and documentaries about Iraq’s imposed war on Iran.
Abyar was awarded at several film festivals in Iran and abroad, including the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.
She made many notable films, including ‘Breath’ which was selected as Iran’s entry to the Best International Feature Film category at the 2018 Oscars.
