Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the 19-minute flick will be among the 6 Iranian short titles to hit the screen at the non-competitive section of the French event.

‘Retouch’ narrates the story of a woman who cold-bloodedly leaves her husband to die. The woman takes her child and does not attend to her husband who has had a deadly accident at home.

The acclaimed short has so far attended more than 70 international events and has bagged various awards, including the Best Short Film Award at the Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival in Switzerland and the Best Director award at the BangkokThai International Film Festival in Thailand.

The first edition of the Iranian Cinema Festival of Chantilly was initially scheduled for March, but was postponed to November due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The festival offers a platform for talented Iranian directors to introduce their works to the world arena.

The Iranian Cinema Festival of Chantilly is organized by the Franco-Iranian Center in collaboration with the municipalities of Chantilly and Senlis as well as several Iranian art institutions and film production companies.
