Directed by Yousef Kargar, the short flick will be shown at the short film competition section of the 39th edition of the French event.

‘Gabriel’ has had various shooting locations, but it has mainly been filmed by the Lake Urmia located between the Iranian provinces of East Azarbaijan and West Azarbaijan.

The film has already been shown at a number of international film events, including the Berkeley Video & Film Festival in the US, the Cheongju International Short filmfest in South Korea, and the Flickers’ Rhode Island International filmfest in the US.

Launched in 1982, the Tous Court International Short Film Festival holds annually aiming to give room to new and emerging talents to grow.

It also aims to preserve diverse cultures and let the short films come back to movie theaters.

The 2021 edition of the fest is slated for November 30-December 04 in Aux-en-Provence, France.
