The Iranian Youth Cinema Society said on Wednesday that ‘Lenz’ received the award for best special vision film at the eighth edition of the CCFF.
Written and directed by Amir-Hossein Tabbat, the film is about a man who intends to commit suicide, but a video camera and photography change his fate.
‘Lenz’ is starring Rahim Shabahang.
The film grabbed the Best Editing award at the 7th CinéStudent Film Festival in the US. ‘Lenz’ also won the Best Short Film award at the 13th International Youth Arts Festival in the UK.
The CCFF is “a film festival for Chuncheon citizens, cinephiles who love genre films, and filmmakers who make independent SF films”, an online submission platform, referring to Safe and Futuristic films.
SF [Safe and Futuristic] films “include all movies that try to solve various social problems such as environment, gender, racism, and refugees with scientific imagination”.
The 8th edition of the CCFF was held on September 30-October 4.
