‘Ballad of a White Cow’ is about Mina, a mother whose life is turned upside down “when she learns that her husband was innocent of the crime for which he was executed”, a synopsis for the film reads.
Iranian short film ‘The Visit’ by Azadeh Mousavi will also be screened at the 21th edition of the German event.
The annual film festival Women’s Worlds “focuses on the human rights situation of women worldwide”, the website of the event reads.
“In contrast to other women’s film festivals that exclusively show films by female filmmakers, Women’s World, as a thematic festival on human rights for women, offers a screen for films by women and men,” it adds.
The festival was originally founded in Tubingen, but has been taking place in Berlin since 2020.
The upcoming edition of Women's Worlds will run from October 27 to November 3.
