Iran’s Kuh-e Namak in photos

Kuh-e Namak (meaning salt mountain), which lies in Iran’s southern province of Bushehr, is one of the most magnificent geological phenomena.

The salt domes formed on the mountain are made of evaporative sediments such as table salt, industrial salt, and gypsum.

The impact of water erosion on these sediments has created spectacular scenery.

Kuh-e Namak lies between the counties of Deyr and Dashti in Bushehr.

The area has been named a national and natural landmark due to having many attractions.
