The 15-minute short, directed by Mohammad Hormozi, will go on screen at the 34th edition of the German fest.
‘Inner Self’ is about a female violinist who wants to enter an office but as she is not attired appropriately for the place, she must stay in the waiting room. While waiting, she is inspired by the things that happen around her there.
The short has so far been showcased at a number of international film events; including the Grand Off film festival in Poland and the Dhaka Int’l Film Festival in Bangladesh.
It has also won some awards such as the best narrative short title at the Fayetteville Film Fest in the US and a special mention at the Akbank Sanat Short Film Festival in Turkey.
According to the official website of the Exground Film Festival, “the organizers put together a worthwhile program featuring over 120 productions – a cross-section of international cinema’s class of 2019/20, chosen from over 2,500 short and feature-length film submissions”.
The 2021 edition of the event is scheduled for November 12-21.
