Iranian short flick ‘Orthodontics’ is scheduled to vie at the Leeds International Film Festival (LIFF) in the UK.

Directed by Mohammad-Reza Meiqani, the short film will be screened at the Oscar-qualifying event.

‘Orthodontics’ focuses on the life of a teenager and the way her appearance influences her relationship with her friends, family and the society.

Maryam Hosseini, Yas Farkhondeh, Arezou Ali, Mehdi Sadr and Yasamin Ebrahimi are the actors of the film.

The short flick has previously participated in the 2021 Short Films Competition at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in France.

Founded in 1987, the LIFF is the largest film festival in the UK, outside London.

The LIFF features five program sections, including Official Selection, Retrospective, Cinema Versa, Fanomenon, and Short Film City.

The 2021 edition of the festival will launch on November 3-18.
