Several countries to go to Cinema Vérité

Works from more than 73 countries have applied to take part in the 15th edition of the Cinema Vérité, Iran’s major international documentary festival.

The Secretariat of the 15th Cinema Vérité said more than 2,600 works from 73 countries have applied to take part in the event.

The countries that have announced their readiness to participate include India, Brazil, Spain, Italy, the US, Turkey, Russia, Argentina, France, Germany, Mexico, Poland, China, Canada, Egypt, Portugal, the UK, Greece, Bangladesh, Belgium, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Taiwan, Cambodia, Colombia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Australia, Serbia, Korea, Iraq, Romania, Lebanon, Croatia, Hong Kong, Peru, Chile, Austria, Sweden, South Africa, Pakistan, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Ecuador, Venezuela, Morocco, Hungary, Estonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and Ireland.

The 15th edition of the Cinema Vérité is slated for December 9-16, 2021.

It will be held in seven sections of national and international contests, presenting Shahid Avini Award, national and international side sections, a special section of Iran 1400, and specialized workshops.
