Bali screening Iranian ‘113’

Iranian short film ‘113’ has made its way to the Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) in Indonesia.

According to the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘113’ by Neda Assef is participating in the 14th edition of the Indonesian festival.

The film is about a soldier whose service number is 113 and who has accidently fallen asleep at the conference room of a military barrack.

The cast members of ‘113’ include Ali Pouya-Qassemi, Ali Nasir, Farid Yousefi, Majid Moqimi, Amir Moqimi, and Vahid Seddiqzadeh.

Earlier reports said Ali Tasdiqi’s ‘Doubt’ will be screened at Balinale.

Balinale was founded in 2007. It is recognized internationally “for the diversity of its programming consisting of Indonesian and international independent and award-winning fiction, documentary, feature, and short films”, the event’s website reads.

The festival’s goal is to create “a gathering of global creativity”.

The 2021 edition of Bali International Film Festival opened on Thursday and will run until November 14.
