Directed by Marjan Khosravi, the doc is selected as one of the four films known worthy to receive the supporting fund from CrossCurrent Doc Fund of the event.
“Golbahar and her family are among the last members of the nomadic Bakhtiari people. She wishes to live in harmony with nature and tradition in a small Iranian village, but her family are eager to embrace the modern comforts of city living,” a synopsis of the doc reads.
The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is the largest documentary festival in North America.
The event is recognized as a qualifying festival for the Academy Awards in the Documentary Feature and Documentary Short Subject categories.
The next edition of the event is scheduled for April 28 – May 6, 2022.
