German doc fest awards ‘Dusty Dream’

Iranian director Soleiman Rahimi's ‘Dusty Dream’ has succeeded to receive the Best Script Award at the German Film Festival known as "Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival 2021".

Produced by Elnaz Jalehchin, ‘Dusty Dream’ also won the award for best short documentary in this international festival.

‘Dusty Dream’ is the story of the hard and exhausting work and life of the workers of brick producing factories in Bukan as the capital city of Bukan County, West Azarbaijan Province.

It is a documentary about the traditional brick factory and families and even children whose lives and work are intertwined.

‘Dusty Dream’ was previously screened at the Mediawave on the Road Online Film Festival in the Hungarian city of Komarom as well as the International Nature and Environmental Protection Festival in Austria.

The doc was also awarded at the January 2021 edition of the monthly Asian Cinematography AWARDS (ACA) in Hong Kong.

The Golden Tree International Documentary Film Festival is an international documentary festival attended by professionals, outstanding filmmakers, producers and artists of the worldwide documentary film industry.

The 2021 edition of this event was held on November 4-6 in Frankfurt, Germany.
