‘I Won’t Remain Alone’ was named the best short at the Italian festival.
Directed by Yaser Talibi, the film is about an elderly couple battling ill-health who lives in a small village in northern Iran. Sorraya and Jalal donated their son’s organs after he was declared brain dead.
Meanwhile, Iranian feature ‘The Badger’ brought Kazem Mollaee the best director award at the Terni Film Festival.
“Right before Soodeh Sharifzadegan’s second marriage, her 11-year-old son, Matiar is kidnapped. After considerable effort, Soodeh is forced to ask for the ransom money from her ex-husband. After Matiar’s release, Soodeh, being curious, comes to the sudden realization that it was all her son’s plan to lay the ground for his father’s return,” a synopsis for ‘The Badger’ reads.
The latest edition of Terni Film Festival took place on November 6-14.
