The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Wednesday that ‘Feng Shui Upside Down’ received the Best Short Film award at the US festival.
Written and directed by Zivar Hojjati, a synopsis for the film reads “A mother’s parenting style leads to contradictory results.”
The Annual Short Film Awards is aimed to “promote and extol the Short Film as an important and unique art form and as a catalyst for positive social impact, and to spotlight and honor the talent and hard work of the best producers, directors, writers, actors, cinematographers, sound engineers, stylists and other creators of short films”, according to the website of the event.
The festival’s mission is also to “provide education and resources to encourage the making of short films that will positively impact the global society, and to generate revenue for Short Filmmakers to recoup production costs, as well as to aid in the production of future short films”.
The 7th Annual Short Film Awards took place on November 18-19, 2021.
