Poland hosting Iranian ‘Snail’

Iranian short flick ‘Snail’ has been competing at the 30th edition of the Euroshorts Film Festival in Poland.

Directed by Mohammad Torivarian, ‘Snail’ narrates the story of three young boys who are being smuggled into Turkey from Iran by a man who only passes males through the border. The smuggler realizes something strange in the middle of the road and a conflict starts.

Azita Hosseini, Babak Kazemian-Moqaddam, Hossein Mehrpeyma, and Afshin Maleki are among the cast team.

‘Snail’ won a Special Mention at the 14th International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva in Switzerland. It also went on screen at the 3rd Beloit International Film Festival in the US.

The Eurosorts Film Festival is being held both in person and online. The event includes shows and discussions with filmmakers.

This year’s edition of the fest is being held on November 29-December 5, 2021.
