Diogenes fest screening ‘The Blue Bed’

The second edition of the International Short Film Internet Festival “Diogenes 2021” in Georgia has been screening Iranian short flick ‘The Blue Bed’.

Written, directed and produced by Alireza Kazemipour, the 14-minute film tells the story of a girl who has taken an inappropriate path in her life and hosts visitors at home.

But suddenly things start to change for her when a woman walks into her life.

The cast list includes Anahita Eqbalnejad, Bita Beigi, Hamed Rahimi-Nasr, Ali-Pouya Qasemi, Diako Khaki, Hedayatollah Sajjadi, and Sahar Azizian.

‘The Blue Bed’ has been screened at a number of global events and won some awards, including the Best Directing award at the 10th Vancouver Short Film Festival in Canada and the best short film award at the 2020 Reading Film Festival in the US.

The short film received three nominations for Best Screenwriting Short Drama, Best Direction Short Drama, and Best Short Drama at the 2020 Leo Awards in Canada, as well as a nomination for best actress in a supporting role (Beigi) at the 3rd Satisfied Eye International Film Festival in the UK.

Most recently ‘The Blue Bed’ shared Best Short award with a Swedish flick at the Settimo Short Film Festival in Italy.

The Diogenes, an online event, hosts films in any digital format.

The 2021 edition of the festival has been underway since November 30 and will end on December 10. The winners will be announced on December 15.
