Tehran home to “Crossroads of Religions”

“Crossroads of religions” in Iranian capital city of Tehran represents freedom of expression and peaceful co-existence of Iranians with different religions.

The fascinating crossroads is located in the downtown of the capital at the intersection of Jomhori, 30 Tir Street and Mirzakouchak Khan Street.  

What makes this intersection so fascinating, to say the least, is that worship sites of Zoroastrians, Muslims, Jews and Christians all lie along 30 Tir Street.  

While you’re walking along the cobblestone street, if you are a Christian, you can go to the church and if you are a Jew, you can go to a synagogue.

There is also a large fire temple to the north of this street where Zoroastrians worship.

The call to prayer from a mosque on this street invites Muslims to pray as well.

The gathering of followers of different religions in one spot is the biggest clue that would lead to the naming of the crossroads.
