Lar National Park under spotlight

Lar National Park (or Lar protected area) in Iran is one of the major destinations for nature lovers.

The park lies between the provinces of Tehran and Mazandaran, and in the heart of Alborz Mountains.

It is known as the capital of Iran’s nature.

Due to its climate and geographical location, the region is home to various animal and plant species.

There are about 100 bird species in Lar, including eagle and flamingo.
