The 15th Arkansas Shorts - A Night of Short Film in the US has been scheduled to screen award-winning ‘Identibye’ from Iran.
Directed by Sajjad Shah-Hatami, the film’s main character faces a dilemma regarding one’s innermost feelings.
He must choose between sense and sensibility. The ones closest to him have always judged him and these never-ending judgments fear him and make him doubt.
He now has to work fast to achieve his goal; because, he knows that one’s true identity is what matters most to them.
Amir-Hossein Sabbaghan, Nasim Moslemi, Maryam Najafi, Samar Barazandeh, and Hanan Azizi are the cast members of the flick.
‘Identibye’ participated in a number of global events and some won awards, including the best screenplay at the Inter University International Film Festival in Bangladesh, a special mention at the Accolade Global Film Competition in the US, the best short film award at the Jozi Film Festival in South Africa, and the Craig Childs Award at the Ridgway Independent Film Fest in the US.
The Arkansas Shorts is an annual event showcasing short films in 3 categories: Those made by Natives and current residents of Arkansas; by North American Filmmakers; and by International filmmakers.
The 2022 edition of the Arkansas Shorts - A Night of Short Film is slated for January 8-9.
