Mesmerizing Marble Throne Eivan in photos

There are many palaces in the Iranian capital city of Tehran that display the grandeur of the Persian art and architecture.

One of these palaces is Golestan palace and its marvelous Marble Throne Eivan.

Dating back to 1759, the Marble Throne Eivan is the oldest part of Golestan palace, located in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Kings of Qajar dynasty sat in this place to meet people of different social status.

The Marble Throne in the Eivan was made of the highest-quality marbles in the Iranian province of Yazd in 1806.

The Marble Throne was designed based on the story of Solomon in which his throne is carried by demons. 

The heights of the throne is almost 1 meter with 3 demons and 6 angles carrying it. Dragons and lions are other creatures carved on the throne.

Entering the Eivan, visitors will get mesmerized by the mirror works on the walls and the marble throne.
