India hosts Iran animation

Iranian animation ‘Sky Sun, Tile Sun’ has been screened at the International Folklore Film Festival (IFFF) in India.

Directed by Ziba Arzhang, the film represented Iran at the special Iranian cinema section of the 5th edition of the event.

The 6-minute film is about a city painted on a tile that undergoes intense explosion and bombardment.

Due to the incident, the sun breaks into many pieces and the city gets dark. But the people build a new sun together.

The Iranian animation has participated in several international film festivals, including the international film festival for children and young people (Anifest Rozafa) in Albania, the LAMPA - International festival of short films, social video, and advertising in Russia, the Golden Beggar International Film Festival in Slovakia, the Florida International Animation Festival and the Fine Arts Film Festival in the US, the River International Film Festival in Italy, and the Washington DC International Film Festival in the US.

The IFFF hosts folklore-based short and documentary films from around the world.

The 2022 edition of the event launched on January 1-5.
