Iran’s doc to vie at Indian fest

The K.R. Mohanan Memorial International Documentary Film Festival in India is slated to play host to Iranian short film ‘Dance of Love’.

Directed by Mohammad Farajzadeh, the 7-minute film will be among the 17 works selected to compete at the fifth edition of the event that is to be held on February 20.

The winning film will receive Rs. 10,000 in cash+ trophy and certificate of the event. The rest of the selected works will take home the festival’s participation certificate.

‘Dance of Love’ is the story of all sacrifices, love, artistic creations and patience of Iranian artist Seddiq Ghaffari, who owes all these merits to the huge love he has to his wife. His wife is now around 15 years that is disabled.

The film has so far taken part in a number of global events, including the Int’l Film Festival ‘Cinema and You’ in Ukraine and the NAFCo Winter Film Festival in the US, where it won the best film award.

The K.R. Mohanan Memorial International Documentary Film Festival is an event organized and held by Insight- the Creative Group in city of Kerala in India.
