‘Gallu’ wins cinematography award

Iran film ‘Gallu’ has won an award at the Cannes World Film Festival.

The film has grabbed the best cinematography award at the 2022 edition of the festival.

Directed by Kasra Tirsahar, the film is about a rural man who accidently finds a piece of meat. And after cooking it, he notices its strange taste.

The man crazily searches for another meat that tastes the same, but the quest unleashes a series of catastrophes.

The Cannes World Film Festival is an IMDb Qualifying monthly & annual competition of all genres for international filmmakers, dedicated to feature films, short films, documentaries, experimental films, animations, music videos, commercials, TV/Web series and many more, according to the event’s website.

It aims to highlight a new generation of emerging talents and a new wave of filmmakers.

The latest edition of the event was held on January 16-25, 2022.
